Stew Leonard's - summer of seafood!

What can I say about Stew Leonard's besides the fact that I'm a little embarrassed to admit that I have been there no less than 8 times in the last 3 weeks.  Yes, my entire family, Dad, Mom, Brother are all infatuated with that place.  I don't blame them....it's pretty awesome.

It's set up like Ikea.  You have to follow the path and walk through the entire place.  Different from your standard grocery store which has aisles you can easily walk up and down.  There are lots of things to look at for the kids and buttons to press and a milk station that has a cow "working" at it.  Displays with characters that sing songs and do flips.  They even have a farm outside with real animals, sheep, cows, chickens, goats.  You get the idea.

The best part is they have amazing weekly specials.  Which keep us coming back for more.  $7.99/lb for lobster.  We purchased 20 lobsters over 2 separate trips.  We had lobster 4 nights in a row if you count our date night at Rowayton Seafood. I am now a pro at cracking lobsters and getting every single piece of meat from them.  We even saved the juice and made an amazing seafood stew a few days later. $5.99 for King crab legs from the Bering Sea.  Again we purchased 8.  $2.99 for mussels.  Yes, we bought a whole bag.  $5.99 for porterhouse steaks.  3 please!

They also have some good soft serve ice cream, frozen yogurt, samples and a food bar that rivals that on a cruise ship.

We will be back again and again and again.

Love her little face here.
