Buzz and a Mermaid!

Mermaid Katie!

Emily was a little Polar Bear.
Our neighborhood has an awesome Halloween Party/ Block Party/ Parade before every splits off and runs to the homes.

People bring lots of food to share.

Adults and Kids alike dress up!

We could only capture about 1/3 of the kids at a time for a photo.

And their off!

Knock, Knock, Knock.  Door after door after door!

Their candy stashes.

Halloween Spirit

We are getting in the Halloween Spirit by visiting pumpkin patches and running through hay mazes, spooky houses, etc.  These pics. were taken just down the road from us.  The kids ended up helping another little boy who was working there.  They moved the Mums out from the shed for sale and pushed the wagons all over the farm.

Spartan Race

I signed up the four of us to participate in the Spartan Race that came to Stamford.  It was a 3K race with a set up specific for kids 5 and over.  However, because our daughter is so active, sporty and really great at coordination we knew she could do it!

Look who we found there!

One of the first hurdles.

Coming down.

Katie not far behind.  See her?

Here's a better shot of her and Daddy making sure she doesn't fall.
She kept up great and they even caught up to us at the end because Mikey's shoe came off.

Having to throw a javelin before crossing the finish line.

Mikey crossed the finish line!

My finishers!  So proud of them. They loved their medals!

Some one wanted held.

Because they were so tired.

Summer Rain

It poured on this day and the kids went out to play.  We all love warm summer rains.  It makes the ordinary seem extraordinary.

Greenwich Soccer

Soccer started today for the kids.  We signed them both up through the town recreation department for 8 weeks of soccer.  Each weekly session consisted of 15-20 minutes of drills followed by a game against another team.

Katie played on the Huskies Team that was for 3-4 year olds and Mikey played on the Flames Team for 5-6 year olds. Scott had volunteered to help assist Mikeys team but the paper work wasn't very clear apparently and he had really signed up to be the coach so, Scott was Mikey's teams coach.  Actually it was a very good thing because I think Scott got more out of it than the kids.  It forced him to focus on something other than work and really enjoyed teaching them new things and researching fun skills to practice with the kids.

I don't have any pictures of Katie playing during the first week of soccer because she cried the entire time.

Mikey comforting his sister.  She hated wearing the shin guards which we were told were mandatory.  We remedied that the following week by not putting them on her.

Mikey was so happy that Daddy was his coach.

Week 2 and she's out there!

Go Katie!
