Harvest Festival

Today we met up with other friends and went to the Harvest Festival in the sleepy town of Pound Ridge, NY.  It's about 8 miles straight up the road from us.  Such a cute little town and it's the one day of the year the entire community gets together.

We had an awesome time! We spent the entire afternoon there, eating, drinking, checking out all the vendors, playing games going on the inflatables,  and listening to live music.  It was a place where the little school aged kids felt free to run around with their groups of friends while parents got a chance to catch up with friends.  It had that warm and safe feeling, a place where you can give a child a proper upbringing. Hope we can do this again next year!

We even heard the Spin Doctors perform Little Miss Can't be Wrong.  They were rocking the stage!

Annual Harvest Festival!

The first on the inflatable obstacle course.

Daddy's happy!  His favorite beer is showcased!

Some yummy Chili and corn bread and a small glass of vino for me!  Delicious!

We just can't seem to get a good family picture these days.

The local firemen demonstrated the jaws of life on this car.  It was amazing!

Mikey taking a good and close look at everything.  He wanted his picture next to it all too!

We waited in line for 30 minutes, twice for a chance to win a gold fish.

He was so sweet and kept trying but couldn't quite get the ball in the bowl.

The girls were so sweet and told me if I had one more ticket that they would give him a fish and I didn't, I spent the last $9 worth of tickets on chances for him to win a fish.  We started to walk away and they tapped me on the shoulder 10 steps later and said they wanted to give him a fish anyway.  I should have just bought him a $.15 fish at the pet store.

He was nonetheless proud.  Too bad the fish didn't even make it until the next morning.

My little loves and I.
