Strawberry Picking

The kids and I headed out early to take a little road trip to Jones Family Farms to pick some of the lush and ripe strawberries.  It was a hot morning and we were all sweaty but it was well worth it.  There isn't quite any way to explain just how good strawberries are when you eat them straight from the vine.  While Katie helped me pick out the perfectly red strawberries, Mikey was busy looking for all different kinds of bugs and worms by digging in the dirt.

I'd say we all had a good time and taking home our 10 + lbs. of strawberries ensures we have more good times at home!

We've arrived at Jones Family Farm and are taking the tractor ride out to the strawberry fields.

Despite the attitude in this photo, Katie is excited!

A few of the many strawberries she's picked!

Hum.....to pick a strawberry or dig in the dirt???

Mid-picking.

Moving down our assigned aisle. Katie has the water and strong Mikey has the berries.

Strawberry eating break.

Our harvest!

Tractor ride back!

Gorgeous red berries!

The kids and I with our picking.
