Colorado bound.

Scott flew to Colorado on Tuesday to see some people from KPMG and to work before I flew out on Thursday.  Scott was the best man in the wedding.  It was my first time back to Colorado since May of 2011 (when I stopped working) which was my last time going into my corporate office for work.  So this trip for me was purely pleasure.

On Thursday nite was the rehersal dinner.  We had the rehersal dinner at the brides parent's home in Wheat Ridge and had a fabulous italian dinner with delicious sweet treats for dessert, and swallowed it all down with some homemade wine and lemoncello.  It was so great to see friends and let loose and relax.  On Friday we had breakfast at Sams No. 3 where I had a breakfast burrito smothered in green chili.  I really missed the green chili but I paid for it the rest of the day, and basically spent the entire rest of the day in bed.  Saturday was the wedding, which was beautiful and while the wedding party was getting pictures in 100 degree weather, I was sitting pool side visiting with my girlfriend from work.  I saw her gorgeous new home and neighborhood and lounged by the pool soaking in the beautiful views.  At night during the reception, we had a great time with amazing food and dancing.  The father of the bride even got Scott out in the middle of the dance floor to dance with him and the groom in front of everyone.  Something I'll never forget!

Backyard Rehersal Dinner.

It was great catching up with all our friends.

Scott with his childhood friends, Mike Foster and Joe Sallustio.

The guys.  It was unusual for me to have breakfast with the groom and help the groomsmen get ready in the am.  Very calm morning.  Usually I see the crazy storm that happens on the brides side.

Not the best pic. we were laughing hysterically at something.

July trip to PA

We took yet another trip to PA.  The kids were spending a few days with my cousin and sister while Scott and I flew out to Colorado to attend a friends wedding.  We played with my barbies, saw Great Grandma Jirik, took a drive around in the red car, and even watched the tractors comb, cut, bale hay, (then a few days later) stack the hay before they drove back to the farm, and they even went to Hershey Park with my sister (pics. of that to come later).  It was a very busy few days for the kids.

Mikey still talks about the tractors he saw while at Nana and Papa's home.  He gets really animated and excited while talking about them.

Barbies take over.

He took his eyes off the tractors for me to snap this pic.  He did say Cheese!

He just couldn't take his eyes off the tractors for this pic.

The baler.

Lots of pointing and talking going on while watching.

Driving the car around. He kept talking about going into the attic to get this down.

So busy.  Lots of places to go!

Mikey loved driving and Katie was so patient going along with whatever.

Katie was so relaxed.

She finally had some time in the car by herself.

Picnic in the playground

We walked to the ancient playground on 85th and park avenue with our new friends today.  We met up with Jen and her two kids, Madison and Jack who live in our apartment.  They are a little older, 6 and 5 but played so well with Mikey and were so patient with him.  Mikey loves playing with older kids; he was a little bossy pants today telling them "this way! wait for me! Stop!, Common guys!"
Their husband/dad work with Scott at KPMG.  Love that we have such close friends to us!  We enjoyed a picnic in the playground.
Not the best pic. but the only one I got.

A work in progress....

Just some things I'm constantly working on.....
(Back in Colorado, I had a holistic nutritionist who gave me a few pamphlets on what can affect your health.  Basically, everything has some type of affect.) But this one pamplet has kind of stuck with me and I seem to be reading it more and more often.

speak less, listen more
say less, do more
worry less, work more
ride less, walk more
eat less, chew more
start less, finish more
correct less, prevent more
blame less, forgive more
wrestle less, embrace more
compete less, cooperate more
take less, give more
have less, be more
frown less, laugh more

Carousel in Central Park

We love to kick off our weekend with a leisurely stroll through Central Park.  This Saturday morning we decided to check out the carousel in Central Park.  Katie was asleep so only Mike and I rode on it.  His face was lit up the entire time.  I love seeing pure joy from him.  We finished up our walk at Heckscher Park and a walk past The Plaza.

Mikey and I on the carousel.

Me and my boy.

For part of the ride he sat on the horse by himself.  Such a big boy.

Pure joy.

Taking it all in.

He was looking around the entire time.

Watching the carousel go around again with Daddy.

Still happy to just watch.
View of Essex House from the playground. We were fascinated by the crane on the top.

A new playground to run around in.

This place had a great water feature.

Fast friends near the water.

Mister Softee Mishap

On the way back from the park we stopped at Mister Softee.  They have some great soft serve ice cream that is a great treat to cool off with.  After a few blocks there was a large bump I went over (usually I'm a little cautious) and we ended up with ice cream everywhere!

Yum!

Mikey's eyes never miss the "ice cream truck".

Yikes.

Ended up everywhere.  All over him and the stroller.

Relaxed

Katie was so relaxed today on the swings that she decided to kick up her feet and enjoy life!
Gotta love her.  :)

Two peas in a pod.

She still has cute little toes.  Her t-shirt is definitely fitting for her!

Just a quick video I took above.
