Niagra Falls

Since we knew the kids were being well taken care of we traveled the extra 20 minutes north to play tourist and see Niagra Falls.  I have never been and it was something on my bucket list to do while we were in Buffalo.  I was going to see them no matter how hungover Scott was! HA.  I didn't care if he's seen the a dozen times...I haven't seen them once and now was my chance.  So off we went!

We arrived super early since we knew we had a long 6 hour trip back to PA that same day.  We had the entire place to ourselves save for a handful of people.  It appeared that they were doing repairs/updates/construction on the entire tourist area attractions so I'm glad we didn't make a separate trip up to see just the falls.  It was sunny, gorgeous and loud.  Just what I expected.  Hearing the dull roar of the water crashing over the rocks is truly white noise at it's finest.  I wish I could have bottled up that sound to bring home!

We made it!  Terrapin Point and Horseshoe Falls.

A constant beautiful rainbow glimmering over the water.

Baby M and I enjoying the scenery.

We walked to the other side of the area to see even more falls.  The statistics are just staggering.

It looks innocent enough looking upstream.

But within moments the water is hurled off the cliffs.

There's Scott and Canada in the background.

I imagine this is how he's feeling right now.

Such a beautiful vantage point.  Literally feet away from the falls.  Such a majestic sight.  Nature provides the best beauty.
Quick photo op.

I could have stood here all day.

Someone's patience is running out.

This is the "c'mon lets go picture."

Such a fun, quick, energizing weekend trip!

Buffalove

Scott and I made a quick pit stop in PA to drop off the kids before heading north to Buffalo,NY for a wedding of dear friends.  Randy and Tina are getting married!  Randy went to college with Scott and were in the same fraternity and Tina is from Canada so it was interesting to see the Canadian traditions thrown into a wedding and reception!

Beautifully decorated at Babeville for the reception!

Enjoying a love, laughter, family, friends filled rehersal dinner.

Me and my Shirley Temple.  I had to take a pic for the kids.

The theme for the weekend was BUFFALOVE.  Aren't these cute cupcakes?!

In his wedding attire, looking all studly.

Tina and her father.

First dance.

Cake cutting time.

Someone enjoyed themselves a little too much.  This is what happens when it's all work and no play.

Seriously, I couldn't get even one good picture.

He was acting so silly.  I gave up!

Newly married Randy and Scott.

Buffalove.

Randy and Tina are such a fun couple.  There is always great stories and laughter when these two are around.  My cheeks hurt from smiling and laughing so much! We knew they'd do something non-traditional to make their wedding memorable.  Tina and her Father walked down the aisle to some great music and after getting hitched Randy and Tina got down with Signed, Sealed Delivered!  SO FUN!!!

The morning after the wedding Scott and I slept in until 8:00am.  Say What?!!! That has never happened since we've had kids.  We both checked the times on our phones and also called the front desk just to double check that we didn't lose power through the night and magically our alarm clock was set to 8am.  It felt so good!

While back at home, these two were having a blast too!  I was sent photos to prove it!

Brother and Sister.

Brian, Mikey and Jen.  I have so many pictures of myself growning up on these same steps.

Cousin love.

She can get him to do anything.

Killing time at school by acting philosophical.

It's a requirement to have some ice cream nearby while filling out Kindergarten paperwork.

Karate Master.....not quite but working on it

Michael has been doing really well with his karate practice.  He is now officially ready to move up to the next class!  Some days he doesn't want to go but once he's there he is very focused and serious about it!  I think we'll take a summer hiatus from sports and then pick back up in the fall with this or some other sport.

He now has his second black stripe on his white belt!
