Toy Solider

So recently I've been getting the kids to pick up their toys.  It's a slow, painful process...but I am really sick of picking up toys constantly.  Yes, while it takes me a few minutes to clean up, day after day, multiple times a day...it becomes a lot! I have really been trying anything that comes to mind to get them to clean up. The "clean up song" has run its course but my new method has worked like a charm for now.  I tell the kids that they need to clean up or the "toy solider" will come and take their toys.  So far, so good.

The kids cleaned up this pile of books all by themselves.  A first!
